84 Jun 20 Comment Hello Kamal,

Yes, I did enjoy your documentary video very much.

There were so many beautiful clips of the weavers and their amazing work. I somewhat disagree with Larry. Yes, if you could have gotten some close-up shots of their hands as they were weaving, it would have add to the experience. But, in my opinion, not getting close-up shots of their faces was fine because your video captured the women deliberately looking away from the camera, showing that they were camera shy. That in itself tells the story.

Well Done, My Friend!!

84 Jun 20 Comment Hello Peter,
Another very impressive video!

I really liked the beginning before the music started and the horse spoke his approval.

I thought that the way you used the titles to describe the events, was very well done. For someone that is unfamiliar with a rodeo, the titles would be very helpful.

In the beginning when you showed the Title "American Rodeo" you used a (stop action effect) which I thought was excellent. Later in the video, during the bareback riding you used a (slow Motion effect) again excellent, and at the end you used a collage of all the videos, again excellently done. You stated that this was edited with PR and AE. I wonder if this collage effect could be accomplished with DaVinci.

I don't like being critical of your videos, because they are always so well done. But I would like to express my opinion about one thing. I have noticed that at the end of most of your work, you insert a caption (Thanks For Watching). In my opinion, this takes away from the excellence of your work. If you watch any professional motion picture, you won't see that. There are closing credits, like (Video By: Peter Shi). My feeling is that the viewer should be thanking you for your outstanding work, not you thanking the viewer. Again, this is just my opinion.

I think this is an absolutely beautiful video. I probably have a different perspective on this than most, because I have experienced the absolute horrors of war. When I look at this beautiful country side I have tears in my eyes because I think, how can people be so cruel and destructive. When will we ever learn to live in peace. God has given us such beauty and we, because of our stupidity, destroy it.

I could go on and on about how impressed I am with this video, but the purpose of this is to critique and give both positive and negative feedback. So I was going to say that I thought the sound could use a little work. It went from the sounds of water falls to suddenly silence and then the soft singing of birds. Then I realized that this is part of what made this video so special for me. It was like the shooting and killing of war stopped and there was peace. This may not have been your intention but to me it was metaphoric.

Thank You so much for making this video. It has touched my heart very deeply.

84 Jun 20 Reply Thanks Larry, for visiting our group again. I hope you are enjoying our videos. I think I would have to argue with you. Michigan over Wisconsin...I don't think so. "And now I feel better" :}

I agree I love the formations too, but on a hockey rink there just wasn't enough room. The freestyle was a fun change of pace.

When I went to the game, I wasn't sure what to expect so I didn't even bring my Nikon, all I had was my android phone.
When I started shooting I didn't think that it would be worthy of posting in PSA but I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. I didn't have a tripod or gimbal with me so the video was a little shaky, but all in all I was happy with it.
