Hi Dirk, thanks for creating such a lovely snowy mountain view. Even though I hope the snow won't come to our area too soon, I'm still look forward to experiencing what you have seen and felt. The high key of the image makes the world so moody, it's perfect for this picture. I like you kept the texture of the tree to contrast the blur ground. The whole image is like a sketch. I have the same question as Lance has, as comparing the color one, I feel I would like to see more layer of dimension on the b/w also. Thanks for such a beautiful scenic image. :) |

Thank you Lance, Georgianne, Jose, and Judy! Your comments help me to understand my own work a lot! :) I basically created this image attracted by the light and shadow, or the negative space, as Lance mentioned. It's a little bit contemporary as no clear story lines inside the picture. It's more about the visual impact than the story itself. Judy, I love what you did to the image. I think the contrast and the orientation make the impact stronger. Thanks! |
