Beautiful. I don't know that I would change much. I guess I agree with Randal to an extent, especially in the bottom left section. But I am being super picky. You could always print it as large as possible and see how the sharpness plays? Worst case is that you would have something super pretty to hang on the wall. :) |

I really love this. I am torn about the stroke/keyline. Agree with maybe bringing the sharpness down a bit?? or introduce a bit of vignette (if going the more artsy route)? But over all, I think the shot is pretty darn good as is. |

Cheryl - I like the orientation (because that's how they grow). :) The leafs and the opening flower are like two subjects and you got both! It seems like the shadows are lost a little on the flower vs the leafs (maybe an adjustment brush taking highlights down in acr?????). But I honestly like this. I spend a ton of time firing off shots in my garden. I just did a bunch of zucchini blossoms and this reminds me a lot of those color and arrangement-wise. So naturally . . . I really like this. :) |

1x1 Crop seems to me to be correct too. That said, I also like the image as is. I think with the crop its just a "different" image. I like the organization though of this too. And I like how you got the detail in the split rail fence but agree with Cheryl on that. I love Robins. They have that white ring around the eye that the camera can attack . . . Nice shot! |

I find the image very pleasing. I like the background very much but would like it better maybe with the lines being more on a horizontal aspect (transform in photoshop??)? The black square IS pronounced . . . but I really liked it (like a puzzle piece). I also like how the image is divided so I am not sure what cropping would do to what I found pleasing. IE the nice dividing line you have in the center. many nice shapes in this to play with!

Thanks! The background is actually a large ornamental grass (in planter in front of the grass). I too was surprised at the green. I did mess with color temps (I thought maybe I cooled it down too much, myself, but the yellows seemed to hold). I used the 90mm Tamron Macro and shot a step or two back so got good compression. I cropped in after that. That series of the cosmos with the afternoon light ALL seemed to come out like that. The purples seemed to me to be way over-saturated. So I brought that down. |

I really like this! Its great and very appealing. Colors are awesome. But having read what Randall said, I can't un-see (sigh). BUT its REALLY well done. |
