Isaac - King Penguins are very photogenic particularly in good light like this. I've only seen them so far at the Falklands. Yes moulting is inconsistent between the birds and also (as you will know) the coat of the young is brown before this moults off for their first waterproof coat.
Nice image. I like the group and the beach background. Nice story. |

Maria, I like your image with the reflection for added interest - but I would agree that it would feel more comfortable with more space to the right - a square crop from your original may work. As to the brightness change suggested by Bruce, this is a personal choice - but certainly makes for a punchier result. I like your image - many presentation options. |

Richard - I like this image with the various components and sky/reflections. A crop to square with 3 components as Bruce has offered works well because 3 units works well. I use Topaz Photo Ai (along with Lightroom) and it may well help to solve technical issues (I only have access to my phone with fast enough wifi as I'm travelling till mid March, so I can't display your image or Bruce's on a computer screen. |

Maria - simplicity works and there is a clear story with the steps - I like the S shape pattern of them and cropping from the left works and helps, so that the reader is looking more from bottom left - I would try keeping the rest of the image as you have it to retain the S shape with a portrait shape image. |

Bruce - very nice image of a group of elephants - your info I suppose is not surprising, but troubling never the less. Let's hope their life improves over time as more and more people understand what is happening and care. |

Thanks Steve - I don't print enough - but I will certainly include this as of the 12 for my 2026 Calendar (which I print and produce internally for family consumption). |

Thanks Cindy - I was lucky that I chose to leave my settings on a Birds in Flight setting as there was enough light not to drive up ISO. |

Cindy, this is truly a beautiful image of a lovely warbler - so much detail to enjoy in the feathers and vegetation. The open mouth adds to this. I just love looking at it! |

Yes Steve, they are impressive birds and your image shows 'him' off very nicely - I like the light dry vegetation helps set off the dark head and neck nicely. |

You captured this gull very well Sunday and I like much of your PP. certainly the bird does not need to be central in the image and should have more in front than behind - how much so is always a personal preference. I personally would have a bit more all around than Bruce's version (but as said these are personal preferences). Cindy mentioned water drops - I like to emphasise these through selecting the area with drops and adding Clarity - then increasing shadows if the darker background has been darkened by the clarity then using the S Curve just lifting the light side - all to make the water drops stand out to add to the story. |

Love this Bruce - and your story. Great you have such beautiful birds at home! Love the angle of the bird with mouth full - perfect! Makes a great picture. |

Jerry - this is a very good image of a spoonbill - I like how we can see the wavy shape of the bill and its eye is nice and prominent. My only preference would be for more canvas for it to fly into - perhaps a square image. |
