Yes….is the answer! Very pink! Well cropped for a nice portrait. I don't mind the slant of the 'tabletop' - it adds to the quirkiness of her looking to her right like that. |

Barbara- a lovely bird (unusual having youngsters to photograph). Yes, you noted a technique to separate the bird from the surroundings, either through depth of field and/or lighting. Others are right in their advice to you, but you have the original to rework for your own library. |

So envious of you being able to experience such wildlife! Such a striking image, sharp where needed and 'powerful'. As a portrait, it's face is very close to the right side. I still love it and wish I had taken it! |

Maria. This is an impressive portrait of your Royal Spoonbill - a striking bird! The feather detail is impressive and you have brought out the eye to be striking - I find it believably bright. There is good detail in the dark areas too.
I think it is obvious that you have removed 'something' from bottom left - it's more blurred than below the bird and bottom right. Not really an issue. |

Gosh Isaac, what an experience! Lucky you! I wonder how many you saw on this trip.
Your image is wonderful, with both cubs and mother seemingly relaxed and, yes, curious! You had plenty of speed and I assume you over-exposed the image with so much white. Either way, your image looks perfectly white. One I am envious of!
Thank you for choosing this to show us this month! |
