Good capture Randy. The colours are amazing and compliment each other so well. The colours look natural to me relative to the original and tier work on the blue one really helps the image.
It was obviously taken during very contrasty conditions and there remains light areas which distract. I'm enjoying the new Lightroom localised tools, going for Subject (which for this type of image needs negative brush correction to remove some of the branches from the auto selection) and then hit the invert box. This very quickly delivers all except the birds - in this case white, highlight and dehaze sliders may help. But you may have done this already! |

The very interesting sky and your PP work has created a lovely peaceful image Mary. There is much to enjoy looking round the image and this must add real value to your catalogue of images telling the story of your trip to Tanzania. Proof that one needs images other than wildlife focussed images from African trips. |

You're at it again! A great image with a huge crop. Very successful and as said, your timing of this shot gives great interesting action with character. I think Isaac is right with lightening the shadows a tad. Well done. |

Good spot Isaac! Yes, a win, win situation, so long as the sheep don't munch the grapes! I'm sure that won't be allowed to happen.
I like the way you positioned the one line looking all the way through right in the centre and a perfect example of the benefit of excluding the sky. Very interesting shot - thank you for sharing. |

Bruce, the key impression I get from this is the vast wingspan relative to the head size - such an impressive bird! You were able 'back then' to time the shot perfectly, getting the leading eye in a prominent position and pin sharp. Skilled!
I don't mind the wings being blurred at all. As to the bottom, I wonder if some added saturation and highlight reduction would help the very bottom without the area going grey. |

Thanks Isaac. I'm not concerned about part of the far wing being covered by the plant. In Nature, it's the story which is more important - which is why 'portraits' do poorly. |
