Sorry I'm so late again! Before I read the prior comments, I felt the path and Walker did not help. I can understand keeping them, because the start of the waterway really helps from bottom left to take you into the picture, but on balance I feel Kirsti's crop is a better solution.
Iceland is a very special place! Thank you for taking us there! |

Gosh what a dramatic landscape! There is so much to admire and in such cases, it must be right to have minimal sky. The lake adds interest, but competes with the rest. On balance, I think you are right to have the full shape and the fact it's on a slight diagonal helps to take the eye into the image.
Yes your image certainly wants me to go there! Sorry I'm so late in my reviews this month. |

Wow, how creative you are and this really works. Week done Kirsti! Far beyond my imagination and technical ability.
You have created a very dreamy feeling and I can't suggest anything to change. |

This is really nice Ed. It is timeless. And that's why OMHO your treatment is right. All except the curved top, which I suggest is too modern for an aged view.
Your timing was great, the actions of the horse adding a sense of motion and character.
A lovely crafted image. |

You have chosen a good subject here for mono conversion Vinod. It has so much detail, texture and shades. Unless you are up at stupid hours, there will always be people around here, so just have to time your shot to only have people which don't detract. Again you have done well here.
I also feel you need to correct the converging vertices - this sort of balanced architectural shot needs to look right. One always looses width in doing this- for this reason I've started shooting this sort of scene wider than I want. |

Many thanks Vinod - I have since played with this and taken the bottom area out as someone linked to my camera club also said he couldn't get past the foreground! |

What a great action shot Colin! Exceptionally sharp and the blurred wheel and earth spraying everywhere certainly adds to the drama and feeling of speed. A great image in mono, focussing attention to the above. I like how you have darkened the background, especially the top area.
I had occasion to review the January Kotor results just now as I got a HM cert for Nature in the post and saw your name everywhere.......including a Gold Metal. Well done! |

Many thanks Ed. This will encourage me to search my library for other winter Yellowstone images - it's a magical place! |

A very interesting image well captured and maximising your luck. One learns so much from these discussions and not just camera craft/pp etc!
My only suggestion is to crop from the left, removing the left pair of horses for the reason of taking away the light stream area to the extreme left....I find that distracting. The stream itself at the front is part of the story, so should I think stay.
Thank you for sharing with interesting information |

A lovely image Marie! I love the way you have captured her from the rear, turning round, so we see both 'face' and lovely rear plumage - and in very nice light too.
You keep showing us heavily cropped images with your great camera! Great detail preserved from a heavy crop!Thank you for sharing! |

Yes you have created a WOW image Walt! First you saw the opportunity to create a unique shot and your pp skill has created what one can only call a WOW image! Just so different and it is made bt the old inside to the car. Thank you for sharing this - I hope you will use this image a lot - it deserves to be widely seen and enjoyed! |

Mary, Zebras make great mono subjects and yours here is a great example of this. I think the low side lighting helps, with this light coming towards the right facing animals - I like the shadows which add interest in your mono.
I didn't find it easy to compare your original with your later (last) twerked version. Both looked good and I also like you narrower version (with two animals on left). I found your closer crop of just 2 animals less interesting - the full view (at the two widths) are more interesting to me.
I must review some of my Africa wide images for mono conversion! Thanks Mary. |

Randy - the perfect of wildlife in the environment type shot! As has been said, the bear so small in the image really helps to show off the amazing location, with interest through the full depth of the image. Lovely and very interesting that 5.6 at that range got everything sharp! |

Well captured Bruce! The image really gives the feeling of cold and one feels sorry for the poor swan! Your pp gives so much detail of the feathers and the ice - a very unusual image and so good because of it. |
