This must be within 8 mile of where I am writing this (home)! Winchester is a lovely English town so I hope you enjoyed your UK visit!
The repeating chimneys and dormer windows certainly makes an interesting study and converting it to B&W helps this. My only suggestion is to work a bit more on the clouds - there seems to be good detail there and making more of that wedge of the picture should add to it. |

An interesting image Albert. It all about the sky but my eye keeps going to the moon: it's more the shapes there, rather than it's brightness. I feel it would be stronger more as a letterbox taking the moon out. I like the mood you've created very much. |

I love Old Truck Don! So much character and it really helps having the misty background adding interest. My only suggestion is whether you need as much space to the right? If you crop some out, even some of the flatbed area behind the cap, it will stop Old Truck being too central. |

A pleasing image Ed and proves how good the up to date phones are as cameras! It looks fine on my screen. I too like the curve of the horizon, but I don't find anything else to hold the viewers' attention I'm afraid. The animals are a tad lost amongst the vegetation.
Thanks for sharing though and your comments re iPhone 11 will encourage me to think about upgrading mine, although someone told me 12 will be a major change! |

A nice image John and B&W is right. I like the sun glasses and the fact you can see things in them - but not you! As Albert says, I would play with adding more punch to see if that would help to add more emphasis on him, the tough guy with his equipment, probably localised, so the wall doesn't start saying "look at me". |

Jack, B&W certainly is the right option. I love the lighting on the left boy whose got so much character: it's just so frustrating he chose to look away to his right at the wrong time! You needed 2 out of the three to look at you, or looking at each other grinning etc I feel. What do they say....."never work with children......"! |

Many thanks Walt for taking the trouble to do that and post a different version. I can understand the logic of the softer look and will play with this idea. |

We had a G9 for many years: loved it and being able to shoot in Raw was v useful.
I think this image is more about the little iceberg as per your original, rather than trying to get a close-up of a seal. I think the story telling is stronger in an uncropped original - an environmental shot. |

An unusual Dolomites picture Maria, but a lovely one. I actually think the lead in lines of the stream (or whatever) being on a third helps make this. The line of the hut and the crest it's on then joins this deeper into the picture to help push the eye to the hills then cloud. So take care I suggest changing the crop too much!
I think I see the far hills in the centre have light falling on them (the ones above/left of the tallest tree). I would try adding some localised lightness and texture to help draw the eye to the interesting hills. Just an idea: may not work! |

A very interesting image Walt, with quality post production work. I'm inclined to agree that the brightness of the chair takes one's eye out of the picture somewhat. Love it though and thank you for sharing. |

A great action shot Bruce, well done. Depth of field is perfect, allowing us to see enough of the environment while the rear nicely blurred making the foxes pop! A quality shot. |

Thanks Isaac. Just to stop any confusion, I got the title wrong when I emailed you at the start of the month! It should be ........Yosemite valley in winter! |
