This is somewhere I know - having been there a number of years ago in the fall. I like your image very much in B&W (makes me think I should look at my old phots, although no snow!).
I agree with Albert that cropping a tad of the right (which doesn't add much) would help move the mountain peak further away from the middle. Cropping from the bottom so the left bottom corner is just water may be an idea, but I'm less sure of this.
Could you darken the white clouds a tad that are around the snowy peak? I just wonder whether this would make the mountains pop a bit more. |

I agree that this is a Wow image. I don't find the moving parts a distraction as the face and body is so sharp! Her expression helps make it. Can't fault it! |

I definitely prefer the B&W version and I like the moodiness of the picture. I like the question it asks as to what is round the corner. But the black area on the corner is too dominant and one cant stop being distracted by it. As Albert suggests, some localised work on that could solve this being an issue. Also, where do you want the brightest part of the image? At the moment it's the right edge plus below the opening door.
I like your title. |

Jen - I've never been to a show like this, so am unfamiliar with them. I'm afraid I don't understand the "farewell" story here or the implication of the riderless horse! Sorry! We can't see the faces of the two mail riders.
So it's not doing anything for me. I have to be missing something! |

I love this scene Albert! I like the story of the scribe showing something to the lady. A great image. My only comment is that i find the paper he is holding up (plus the others on the table) very bright - or is it my screen! I like your treatment too. |

Nice image Don of an interesting location. You were there at the right time: nice and early to give good shadows to the short 'walls'. I went there half a dozen years ago and found it difficult to get a pleasing slice of the huge landscape - its about shapes really and lead in lines.
As has been said, the left area is very bright and either should be cropped out or worked in, so it doesn't take the eye there. It certainly works in B&W!
Again, very nice image! |

A lovely image Isaac! I love the way the birds are looking in different directions and clear of each other (mostly). This adds a lot of interest in a type of bird with character. With the different shades of pink and so so sharp, this is a fabulous image. Love it! |

Marie - I think this makes a good travel image. You have done very well in your Lightroom processing and I love the way the blue boat really leads the eye into the scene. The detail on the walls and reflections realy provides a lot to enjoy. Good luck with it. |

You certainly have shown fabulous skill in creating this image as presented - and what a fabulous result! I love its mood! Great work (that I couldn't even begin to match or believe I could achieve ever!). |

A lovely image Mary! You have managed to capture the sense of purpose of the mother, driving herself and child forward quickly and offering good protection of the child. Tour timing of this shot seems perfect: both animals are showing character and the mother's ears out.
Again...lovely! |

Bruce - A fabulous portrait and a very interesting story with it! Its the jaunty look she has with the angle looking up to the corner which really helps to make this image have character and more appealing. Well done!! The detail and sharpness is fabulous! |
