Hi Henry ,
I haven't seen Charles Needle's work as yet , and am keen now to check it out. It appears that we both lean towards the morning Impressionist colours.
Denbighshire is a beautiful part of Wales, about 140 miles from where i live , i hope your father enjoyed his visit there. |

What an intriguing image Nadia ... i can get lost in this for ages. The person looking in makes this image for me. I like Toms suggestion of darkening down the trees , i feel an added darkness would add drama. Just a suggestion also, the concrete blocks making up the chimney on the side of the shack have bright highlights, perhaps make a duplicate layer, use the
burn brush and darken some areas, ie the chimney , trees at sides and top tree gaps. An image with lots of potential. |

Thanks Brad and Tom . That interesting ... in the original i find the whiter streaks at the top quite pull my eyes , so thought a gentle colour would remedy this.I can't come to love the original, my preference remains for the coloured version. I appreciate your honesty and value your opinions. |

Hi Lisa, What a great capture. I also really enjoy the perch you chose , and thats my dilemma. They are both competing for attention , when really you want us to admire the kingfisher. I wonder if darking down the perch would help . The background enhances the kingfisher well. |

Hi Brad ,
Great idea and beautiful foliage and butterfly. Do you think the butterfly is too close to the top edge , maybe worth rotating it so that its flying into the bushes. Another suggestion , have you tried this in Black and white ? |

Hi Tom,
This is absolutely amazing , i love it.
The only thing i can suggest is to darken the bright yellow highlights each side of the central column , that span across especially near the top. They draw my eye , there already appears to be darker areas on the base which would mimic the darkening of the top.I think that would hold our eyes into the image itself. I really admire your work here. |
