Quite right Sandra, the image file to contribute here should be at least
1024 pixels wide
and vertical images at least 768 pixels tall and the file size must not exceed 1Mb.
I usually make a copy of the Raw file, and edit it and save it as a jpg
copy.I then make a copy of the jog before resizing it.
Im not familiar with Lightroom classic , however Lightroom 4 has the option to resize it , best wishes and look forward to viewing your work. |

Many thanks for your honest opinion , and i am so pleased that you prefer the original ,but for me personally it is lacking something ? or perhaps too much in it ,

Hi Sandra,
I am glad this image has inspired you and hope you post your attempt for us to see.
With a still life set up , you have much more control in order to attain the effect you envisage.I always shoot in Raw and then play with editing.

Hi Judith,
I enjoyed reading your comments and they are much appreciated.
The set up was arranged so that it pleased me , and as you forementioned my idea was for warm tones and soft lines.
The little object...
The material i used (for soft lines and shape at the base) was a piece of brown Satin , on its reverse it is coloured dark gold. The little fiddly piece you spotted is an edge of material which is fraying into gentle strands, i preferred to keep it in.Why im not sure ? Its just a mistake really that i didnt pick up on the day, and its clearer to see on the original.Thanks Judith. |

Hi Mary,
You have captured movement well, and I agree i prefer the colour version.
I also like the low angle however i would prefer to crop off the lower section where the blue jeans ? are shown.OR perhaps darken the strip of light that is central on that blue lower edge.
Lovely image that reminds me of the Classic Camera style of colour photography from years ago. |

Hi Judith,
For me this is a piece of Contemporary Art in its abstract form and is very appealing. I particularly like the fact that the central part takes on the appearance of a Butterfly KOI perhaps in its skeletal form , this is my vision and it delights me. I also enjoy the fine delicate outline of the petal especially in base of the image.Personally , i find that the small V shape green background (on top right third where the petals separate)along with the small shadow below it upsets the balance. Love the colours and look forward to seeing more of your style. |
