Thank you for your comments Walter. I believe you captured the expression on the bird's face correctly based on the environment. Image that, you weren't even there!
These hundreds of puffins are out at sea all day and come back to the deserted part of the island of Rund to nest beginning around 7 pm. The scene is magnificent! There are hundreds and hundred of puffins. The bird may pair up, but eventually they hide behind the rocks for the night until the morning when the go out to sea again. I'm certain the bird was contemplating his next move.
Now, you have mentioned previously "burning corners in slightly". Is that a Lightroom technique or Photoshop technique that you are referring to?
