You've chosen a great subject- birds at the watering hole. The DOF is good and the colors are nice.
A crop that allowed for more of the stream of water, in my opinion would better support your image. While you may have some constraints to deal with as you work that out, your image doesn't have to be landscape. Good luck!

I like your choice to use black and white as opposed to color.
A compelling image choice. Good depth of field. The lighting was spot on and good over all texture.

I agree with those before me that you have chosen a nice image. I like what appears to be a droplet of dew at the end of the bee's wing. The lighting is nice and the DOF is good.
I too agree that a slightly closer crop would eliminate the piece of grass in the right corner, but draw your focus to your subject. The white spot could be darkened a bit but that doesn't bother me so much. |

The main subject, the Wild Rose is in tack sharp focus and appropriate for the situation. The center of the rose looks quite lovely. The DOF works well for this shot. The lighting is good. The colors are nice. The bee provided a visually-interesting element to the rose.
If I look long enough it seems that the body of the bee is a bit soft. |

I like the lighting. I am especially fond of the way it is hitting the front flowers. The deep depth of field works well for this shot.
Looks like Walter already mentioned the distracting building in the horizon. |

I particularly like the way the lighting is hitting your subject. I like the texture of the feathers and the contrast of the black beak which is sharp against the feathers. The portrait is nice and quite a striking one.
I too, find that the image is slightly too soft, for my taste.
