21 Mar 21 Reply Gimp is a free open source source software, similar but not identical to photoshop. I learned to use photoshop first, but gimp is free to use and I currently can't justify the cost of Adobe's 'SAS' pricing. Mar 27th
21 Mar 21 Comment This is a textbook example of good posterization. Simple silhouettes and classic understated colors, without over embellishing. The smaller birds might look bolder at a slightly larger aspect, but your graphic elements all fit well together. Mar 27th
21 Mar 21 Comment Excellent. I love the textures you achieved and the use of layer blending is seamless. I think changing the sky as Joan suggested might give more interest, but it might also interfere with the painterly style. To my eye the grey in the sky tells part of the story, tying in with the snow and general feeling of cold. It's very much interesting enough as it is. Mar 27th
21 Mar 21 Comment I love the concept, and the elements work well together. As others have said, the biggest problem is the uneven cropping. I might have used a mask layer and blur/smudge tool instead. Mar 27th
21 Mar 21 Comment Very nice. It has an 'HDR' look. Mar 19th
21 Mar 21 Comment The horizontal continuity combined with diagonal opposition, draws the eye in every direction at once. I might have cropped (enlarged) the 'floor' layer to eliminate the darkness at top right. Mar 19th
21 Mar 21 Comment Excellent composition! I love the colors. I might have added a layer of pool water to give more realism. Mar 19th
21 Mar 21 Comment Why is my image missing again? I sent it on the 9th, before the deadline. I hope this isn't a trend. The last time I only got a couple of comments, because most people had already finished their comments before my image even got posted. Mar 13th

68 Mar 21 Comment Great depth and composition. The haziness could be reduced in SPM using the gamma level. Mar 31st
68 Mar 21 Comment The second example is stunning. Mar 31st
68 Mar 21 Comment I love the colors. Mar 31st
68 Mar 21 Reply Wow! This is much better than what was posted! Mar 31st
68 Mar 21 Comment Well done. Very creative. Mar 31st
68 Mar 21 Comment I find the shadows a bit distracting. The flash on the W2 is always problematic due to its placement on the camera. Unless you use a slave flash to reduce shadows, it will be a problem especially for close subjects. Mar 27th
68 Mar 21 Reply The image is not adjusted except for auto alignment in SPM.
Also there is no hill or car. Only tall trees and rooftops.
It was a straight cha-cha.
