I agree that your polar extrusion has created an excellent backdrop. The cathedral like cascades at the top draw the eyes up, then drop them back to the center. However I also agree that the subject does not match the surroundings. To me, the tiger seems to be emerging from within a wall rather than a shadow. Also the tiger's expression of movement and transparency are too drastic for the space created by the background. |

I like the original image. The addition of darkness and more brush is fine, and the idea of adding color is a good one. However the edges where the orange meets the wood are not matching up for me. Did you consider a radial gradient? |

A good job overall. The issue of the pixels is through the entire image, so it doesn't detract much especially viewed at small sizes. The reflections could be better matched by slightly increasing the luminance of the pasted layer, while decreasing it in the base layer. |

I like the idea, but the large frosted area becomes the focus instead of leading me to the focus as intended. Perhaps if the diffusion were less intense or if you had instead used a wave distortion to interact with the radiating lines it could keep more of the original interest. |

Good concept and great colors. I would love to have seen a version without the 'find edges' step. I think you would have gotten a smoother, less pixelated result. |

Good question. Yes, the stack would still be cut off. Since the crane and buildings would be cut off anyway, I chose to frame it that way. Also, there was a strip of open water behind Wim which balanced the open pavement on the left. |

A beautiful subject and a well framed shot. I would crop out the slight rivalry at the right edge. The single leaf distracts from the excellent composition. |

I hope the 'chute works, or he'll scratch that nice paint job. :) Good color and reflections. The left side seems to have slightly less contrast than the right, but good sync for a film cha-cha. |

A great shot. About as close as the fuji will go without attachments. Well done. |

Lots of interest and depth all the way to the horizon. The short wall in the foreground is slightly through the window, pulling the eye away from the rest of the image. |

To me the best part of this is the reflected view of the lighted windows (the yellow color accentuates this). It almost feels like there is a a deep space behind the falling water. I would have been tempted to skip a rock to get ripples. |

If both cameras had been set at 16:9, Wim would be fully in the frame and the composition would be more balanced. I have other shots without him if I can figure out the correct way to resize them. |
