Hi Judy,
Layers and geometry do make this an interesting image! I like Frans' idea of looking at the image in B&W or maybe desaturating the sky so that the road, the rock and the sky are all similar.

I do agree with Beverly that the sky is a bit bland, I'm not real into sky replacement but I have to admit that the image does look good with those clouds.

I do remember being at this location! You have done a nice job capturing it, I especially like how the tops of the palm trees are just above the lights providing a bit of and echo. Also, I like Judy's version with the left side cropped out.

Hi San,
Such an interesting image! I particularly like the colors and the rays coming off of the sun. The warm glow in the ice is really unique. I don't mind the building so much but It would simplify the scene to remove it. I think I might print the image both ways and look at it for a while before deciding.

Hi Pierre,
Your colors are fantastic! I think I like the panoramic view and would keep that aspect ratio but you could crop up and in from the right lower corner which might emphasis the island. Also I think the shadows coming off of the island could be darkened a bit to make them more dramatic.

Hi Lamar,
Such a dramatic juxtaposition! I think the color version is fine but you might consider converting to B&W to give it a more industrial feel and consider cropping as 3:1 ratio so the ship really dominates the entire frame.
