Hi Frans,
Sorry for the late response this month. This is fantastic! You had a vision for this scene and the results are amazing! I do like the crop suggested by San, I think it helps balance the image. My only suggestion would be to remove the telephone pole and wires. BTW, have you looked at David Osborns website? I really like his work and your image seems to go in that direction. He has a series of articles on the website that I found helpful.

Hi Judy,
I think you did a very nice job cropping as you have. The original image has a significant distortion which is eliminated in the final version. Also the shadows have been opened up nicely to show the texture of the barn and I think it was a good choice to remove the sand pile.

Very nice image, I like the silhouette of the trees and island against the colorful sunrise and the blue water definitely conveys the sense of cold. My only suggestion would be to consider an 8x10 crop which eliminates the open water to the left .

Hi Lamar,
I understand your idea about trying to convey that this is a landscape with birds in it but for me the image is so much about the birds that the detail of the land is incidental. Too emphasize the birds I cropped in with a 16x9 aspect ration and blurred everything except the birds which I masked and then applied texture and clarity. Color adjustments where made with the new color grading feature in LR which is quite fun to use. I know it might not be what you originally intended but the birds seem so interesting I thought a different approach might work.

Hi Kathryn,
What a striking image! The spire is very mysterious and the whole thing has me leaning into my computer to see more! Very nice! I like all of the elements in the sky but wanted to try an 8x10 aspect ratio so mostly transformed (scale) the top of the sky. I also tweaked the color in LR a little. Fantastic image!
