70 May 20 Comment Hi Frans,

Such a psychedelic scene in the color version! Good job holding still for this shot. I also like the B&W as others have suggested.
Best wishes,

70 May 20 Comment Hi Kathryn,

The Arizona desert looks very interesting. Your use of f13 has given a lot of depth to the image. This composition has me wondering about the horizon line and what breaks the line and what does not. You have kept the Chula below the horizon and the central saguro pierces into the sky. I think it would be an interesting exercise to experiment with these relationships and see what happens.

70 May 20 Comment Hi Judy,
I like how this approaches an abstraction and for this reason prefer the B&W version. I cropped in even more with a 4x5 aspect ratio and added little glow with a mild Orton effect.
Nice idea, Todd

70 May 20 Comment Hi Pierre,

This is a nice silhouette and reflection. You did a good job keeping everything sharp and you have controlled the brightness of the sun very well. As for suggestions, I tried a different crop which puts for emphasis on the reflection. I also cooled the foreground and warmed the sky.
Best wishes, Todd

70 May 20 Comment Hi Lamar,

I find the trees to be very interesting and I like the false color/infrared look. I must have a thing for the square aspect ratio this month and although the idea of the water is lost in this version I like how the trees fill the frame. Either way the image is very interesting and well done.

70 May 20 Comment Hi San,
Welcome to the group!
I really like this image, I feel the strongest elements are the two largest trees, one on the ground and the other standing to the right. I experimented with the image in LR and I think a square crop really makes those two elements more prominent. I also played around with the lighting. Just a different approach for consideration. Nice job catching this scene amongst all the clutter of the forest.
