Hi Lamar,
I think the inclusion of the curve sign is clever but it took me a minute to get it. It would be nice if the sign were a bit larger in the image. Perhaps cropping in a bit if the image can handle it. This would also eliminate a bit of the foreground which seems empty. Nice fall colors and tones in this image.

Hi Kathryn,
I love the star burst. My only suggestion, as mentioned by Frans would be to darken the sky and it would be interesting to see if the suns rays extent upward into the sky as well.

This is a fantastic composition. I've been thinking about the color wheel lately and this image has a nice yellow to purple flow to it which I played around with and exaggerated a bit. You have a great eye and I'm looking forward to seeing something from Orange County! Enjoy your visit.

Nice abstraction, I really liked the blues and noticed the reflections looked a bit like a watercolor to me so I tried to emphasize these elements.

I like the composition a lot. The graceful curve out to the peninsula is fantastic. I cropped it little to put the red/blue line in the corner and I cooled the upper left and warmed up the lower right just a bit.

Hi Pierre,
This strikes me as a dark, moody scene with great textures, contrast and geometry. I tried to emphasize these factors and found I prefer the B&W version.

I do like the 16:9 crop, the original version was 11x14 due to the rules of a photo contest but I think I'll used the cropped version for future presentations. |
