Great shot Frans!
I really like the composition. The overhead leading lines work really well and you got everything from front to back just right. The color transitions form foreground, midground to sky work really well.
Great job! |

Hi Judy,
This is fantastic! I really like the colors and the composition. I have no experience with IR but I feel you have really done a nice job with this.
Also, congratulations on having your photo selected for the member highlights. I like the energy and motion you captured in that shot! |

Hi Kathryn,
I feel you have done a very nice job of capturing the texture of the sand in this photo. I also like the repetitive sand hills in the mid ground and the transition from the cool sand to the warm light on the mountains is really nice.
I see that Glen and Judy like the bushes in the foreground. I'm not sure myself--I often include a little detail like this in my own photos but I also feel this can be a distraction to the overall scene. I removed the bushes for comparison but I just can't say which I like better. Overall very nice image. |

Hello Glen,
Your use of a drone has provided such a cool perspective! The coastline is very interesting and the fog adds a mystical element to the shot that I like very much. The composition is nice with the diagonal orientation of the peninsula and the mountain is a nice anchor in the background.
I feel that the sky is quite empty and I'm sturggling with what to do about it. I tried cropping in to eliminate the sky altogether but then you also loose the mountain. I tinkered with the image a bit to see what I could come up with.

Hi Pierre,
I really like the warm tone of the buildings in the morning light.
I feel the sky is a bit plain and could use some enhancement.
I feel the central idea behind this photo is to show an overview of the city with this fantastic light so I cropped in a bit to make the shot a bit more panoramic which I feel emphasizes that idea. |

Hi Lamar,
Very interesting flower I can see why it caught your attention. I also like the people on the beach.
I feel that the bush just behind the flower is a busy area that somewhat obscures the flower. And although I like the flower and the beach individually they are competing for my attention.
I have been having a debate in my own mind regarding the role of foreground elements and wondering if it might be better to simplify my compositions. In this case make the subject the flower or the beach. Just something I've been thinking about. |
