Hi Glen,
The water looks great with very nice rich green surroundings. I think the foliage to the left is a little distracting and wonder if a tighter crop on the waterfall might work better. Also, since you are likely using a tripod for this shot maybe do a second shot with the foreground in sharp focus and focus stack later? |

Hello Pierre, I'm happy to see that someone else has an interest in night sky photography. Your stars look good-- pin point without star trails. Getting the right light inside the tent is difficult and I've tried diffusing the light through water bottles and clothing but next time I try an image like this I may use the new tent LED light strings or a very dim goal zero lantern. Also, it is fun to try and light paint the foreground with flashlights. Lighting the mid ground mountains is difficult but there are a few websites that describe low level lighting with LED panels for this or If you are willing to leave your camera on the tripod all night you can shot the foreground and mountains during blue hour and then the stars later and combine the images in Photoshop. I'm looking forward to seeing more!
