An amazing demonstration of the utility of Big Photo. I can see crests on some of the birds and suspect that they are waxwings as if I were looking through binoculars! In the blow up the various telephone wires add some perspective so removing them doesn't seem needed. |

Portrait mode certainly works here. The lighting is very interesting as Jerry says. What is stage light? Was it naturalm or did you arrange it? |

The black and white version is much more dramatic, while the color version's highlights and color shifts are interesting.
I like both versions. Jerry is right about borders as usual. |

The border does help greatly as the image would blend into the surround without it. The sharp images of the blossoms is lovely. Can you tell us more about the "tap" on the blossoms vs using portrait mode? |

Good idea. A vignette would do the job. |

It is good to hear that Carol is back home. Taking walks and photos while at the hospital can help you deal with concerns.
I like the composition of your final image. A tiny crop of the bottom could remove the distracting stoplights.
This is a very busy scene and your selection of the elements to keep works well. |
