I engaged in a bit of word play here to refer to the wild (white) flower as the original since it is an example of the "original" (wild) plant and the cultivated specimen on my deck is the "final" result of lots of breeding work by horticulturists. |

If it gets to 109 the tar in this place may just melt into new patterns (or not). When I look at this image for some time, the "ladder" lifts off the surface. That 3D effect really works well for this subject. |

A lovely image of a very special place. A nice departure from the usual 4th of July image. Nicely selected, seen and executed. |

The colors here are very, very nice and the weedy frame around the door frame perhaps emphasize the need to avoid trespass. The "story" Jerry suggests might well be a beach mystery. Each of us can probably write our own captions to a very suggestive image. Nice. |

I think your experiment was a great success. When I first saw the image my first thought was this is terrible. Then as I read your intent what was obvious was how real the treatment looked like an old, faded print. Fascinating! |

You are right. I missed that. There was a leaf there I "healed," but didn't finish. |

Nice capture of a lovely piece of "natural" art. The colors are quite beautiful. The image gives a nice reason for going on a "fishing expedition" with one's phone.

I love the B&W image for its detail and forms. Imagine it as a large platinum print! Great shot. |
