This "retake" of an image with better light should remind us all that returning to spots on our home turf can be very rewarding. Nicely done. |

The coastal beaches of Washington and Oregon with haystacks get photographed often and deservedly. Not often do these photos include the sort of foreground you include. That really adds texture and interest to the image. Nice! |

A great shot of an Osprey in unexpected habitat. What a nice illustration of what one can accomplish with a phone and patience! Nice job. |

Your decision to show the area to the left of the building and not all of the right side of the building creates 4 very interesting geometric rectangles, softened by the trees. I would never have thought to do that. The champion sign really sparks our interest (sorry, I couldn't resist). |

Getting rid of the path on the right creates better focus on the path you liked. Everything else supported that. It does now look mysterious! Now all you need to do is write a mystery novel and use this as the cover. |

It is amazing that your image is sharp at 65 mph. The conversion to B&W really works. I think it is interesting that the details seem clearer this way. Kind of reinforces the notion that color images are about color and B&W images show structure.
Nice lesson in both seeing and execution. |

This was taken from the Olmstead Island overlook.
The markers on the Virginia side are visible with binoculars from this overlook. The "new" (30 years old or so) bridges to the island have made it possible to get there as soon as the water recedes enough and that lets us take this kind of photo. Remember the flood in the early 80's that took out all the old bridges and big chunks of the tow path? |

Actually, I thought I had removed that little green spot with the healing brush. I didn't see it until it showed up here. |
