Good point. I did forget to shoot this one in live even though I have done that with other streams and waterfalls. I will definitely remember the next time! I used an I Phone 12 Pro at 2X camera. |

One can imagine this as the scene of a meteor strike, except that the shells give scale. The dark foreground and flaming sky reflected in the water with a tinge on the rock suggest a dying day (or world). Nicely seen. |

I agree with the above comments. I especially like the color of the wood portions of the building which appear unreal until one looks at the color of the bricks and the sycamore. Do you like the fact that the building leans back? While the ground appears level, the tree leans a bit too. This is a striking image that triggers lots of imagination both because of the state of the building and its "stance." Lots of stories could come from here.Fun!! |

The repeating elements in this image really work. That they are sharp, front to back, provides great depth. Our club competition for Feb was repetition. This would have taken 1st in the advanced category. I especially like the play of the iron grid (?) shadows on the walls and sidewalk.Good work indeed. |

I agree that this is a fun shot. Nice that the snow is melting! Good riddance! You younger folks (Jerry is even older than me and I am old as dirt) may like snow to stick around to be shoveled for your entertainment! If I use my imagination I can convince myself that there is a thin black frame. Is the fact that I don't really see it a function of my monitor or am I just brain dead?
I like the humor in this image. Nicely seen and accomplished. |

First to follow up on the exchange between Dave and Bob, a selfie stick can function nicely as a monopod. The one I have clamps my phone and can be extended enough to reach from the ground to my eye.
This is an interesting and challenging time of day for including foreground in the shade and far background strongly backlit. I like the added color to the background and sky.
Nice job! |
