The placement of the dahlia, just off center and opposit that little black hole works beautifully. The idea to use the dahlia was perfect. |

The Palouse is a wonderful area to photograph. On my trips there I shot in B&W while my wife shot in color. Both work well there. Have you looked at this image in B&W? You might find that interesting with this image as well. |

I can't decide whether I like this image better with or without the part door on the left. Removing it and cropping tighter on the left provides a "cleaner" image, but also changes the feeling tone for me. The image certainly gives us something to think about, artistically and socially. |

The pole and tire did not bother me at all. They seem needed to keep her from falling into the water. Maybe that would be unnecessary if the pier were straight. The horizon is obviously not straight. Her missing leg is only missing for a short time, then one finds it.That is a minor distraction.
This was an interesting way for you to get us engaged. I enjoyed it. |

If you live anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic this summer taking a photo of a cicada is mandatory! They are a bit eerie and I tried to accentuate that quality.
This was processed in Painteresque and then cropped in Snapseed. Snapseed worked poorly this time. I have no idea why. |
