I too like the red the way it is. It looks real. The little yellow/green object (seed pod?) looks like a frog and pulls you into the image. Would a polarizer have improved the red in your View? |

I see Dave's point. I often don't include enough of the scene surrounding water falls and rapids. Your image shows why I rarely like my results. Thanks. |

I love this image. It reminds me of buildings I saw in France this summer that were built to the "same" plan. The winter weeds add to the decline of the entire space the image depicts. Lovely job. |

I am just finishing reading Larry McMurtry's Wandering Hill, which features an evil hill, with a single tree on top, that wanders from place to place in the old west. The bench is empty because the hill swallowed the occupants. The B&W version fits my mental image well. I think I would prefer it even without the wandering hill reference since the contrast evident in the B&W version works especially well. |

I like the large "empty" spaces except for the cords since it echoes what I often see at club workshops. As a long time Tri-Ex shooter, I like the job you did depicting that look. The "discord" between the film era, the cords and the cordless cell phone adds interest to the scene, even if the pun is lousy. |

I am viewing your image on what is called the ten year anniversary of "snowmagedon" when we got 30 inches in the DC area and everything shut down for days. This year, like Chicago, we have the warmest days on record. Your image is a perfect reminder of what we once had. The few weeds in the background show that your world is black and white rather than that you made the image a black and white.Really nice job. |
