51 Dec 19 Reply WPA was the Works Progress Administration which funded photographers and artists in the 1930s. I had in mind images by Dorothea Lange and Walker Evans. Btw, I have often thought that Walker Evans could be a distant relative. Many of his images include a Sprott reference (towns and stores in Alabama and the Carolinas) and Evans is an occasional Sprott family first name. Dec 15th
51 Dec 19 Comment The facial expressions in this image are wonderful. A really nice capture of a fine moment. The babies wide open eyes draw our attention to his connection to his aunt which gives the photo impact.

51 Dec 19 Comment A very interesting image from the Washington coast where we usually see the haystacks. This is a nice illustration of the advice to turn around and see what is behind you. The exposed roots clearly show how the tree structure above and below ground match. Very interesting. Dec 11th
51 Dec 19 Comment Both the lines and the colors stand out in this image. As Dave mentions, it is a very sharp image, down to the three pigeons on the roof. Did you adjust the blue in Snapseed, or was the October sky that blue? A lovely image.

51 Dec 19 Comment The change in direction of land use is mirrored by the yellow directional sign at the end of the road pointing both left and right.Left leads to a sand trap and right leads to nowhere. The silo dominates the scene and has no apparent purpose. Lots of possible stories here. Dec 11th
51 Dec 19 Reply I enjoyed your gentle way of telling me you don't like this image. Dec 11th
51 Dec 19 Comment This image is a great advertisement for the super wide lens. The really nice sky helps too! Dec 11th
51 Dec 19 Comment Great lines pull you in. Then peripheral vision registers the "walls" of books, then back to the structure of the lines. Lots to see and think about. Nice job. Dec 11th
