Having spent part of this afternoon watching (note, watching not helping) a son-in-law move stone blocks while building a wall, I completely understand the chair! This image tells a story and sets our imaginations in gear. That is one of the aspects of photography that is too often neglected. Nice vision.
Have a great trip. |

I like the image as it is presented. The Palouse is a favorite place and I have many images in Black and white, but non in color.
Note that trips to the Palouse are part of the PSA conference agenda this year.
I did a quick look at Bob's suggestion to reduce the sky and like that too, though it produces a totally different image with a very different impact.
And Steve, we may need to drum you out of NIHCC if you can't improve the quality of your puns! This group has standards, even though they are not all that high, and are not really enforced.

Like all the others, I find the colors compelling and the action is very well conveyed. The bright sunshine that toasted us all at beaches last week is obvious in this image and adds to the drama. I was at Cape May all this week and saw nothing that came close to your image.

Converting this image to black and white takes what might have been a scene we all would skip to a picture we probably wish was ours. Nice vision and perfect placement of the elements. |

I am a railroad nut. In fact I bought my first serious camera (Nikkomat) in 1967 to take pictures of box cars so i could model them, so I love pictures of the old engines. I like your treatment of the members of the society for the prevention of the taking of pictures. Very fitting shots of a collection of rear ends!
Seriously though, you still got a great shot of that classic engine and of course it had to be in black and white. Nice job! |

I like the softer look of this image and the almost pastel colors. Nice transformation of an almost harsh scene to a lovely arrangement of lines. I also like the detail available under the bridge. I'll have to have a look at "look." |
