It can be stressful for all the reasons you mentioned. Even with that I enjoy flying. |

Hi Lisa, after reading your message I went out for a long walk with my dog and I thought about what you said. It's a shame that there are so many drone restrictions, I've thought about getting a new drone but I fear that in the future there will be fewer and fewer opportunities to use it. I think that drones are like skateboards, a percentage of the population don't like them and probably think that they should not even exist. Iceland is great for drone photography , I only recall seeing one area where signage banned drones. I don't how it is in Reykjavik, I was only there a day and it was not really very interesting so I did not even think about flying. A group of five photographers spent 15 days in Iceland and traveled around the whole country on a tour with a focus on drone photography. The main factor limiting drone flying while I was in Iceland was the weather, often extremely windy or rain. |

Hi Lisa, the friend I traveled with had been to Iceland a few years before covid. She was said at that time there was very little tourist activity. Some of the areas that now have paved parking for buses were just gravel lots back then. Sadly, in my opinion, social media has shown these sites to the multitudes. Our guide said that some spots that only a few years ago were virtually unknown are now being heavily visited. |

Hi Drema, thanks for the comments. In the attached image, #3 is where I was when I took this image. I'm going to try out slow exposures as I'd like to take some night shots. I have lots of images of this waterfall taken with my Canon R5, many of those have slow exposures. |

Hi Pete, apparently the no drones signs came down sometime in October. I saw someone else flying a drone, he was much closer to the falls. Just in case of a problem I tried to stay somewhat unobtrusive. |

Hi Richard, thanks for the comments. It was almost always windy while we were in Iceland, usually at the upper end of my drones capabilities. We had rain and overcast but enough days of sunlight too. I'd go back there. |

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the comments. I like the suggestion of cropping out the mountains. |

Agreed, that's a real pain. I can understand the No_Fly Zone but it is too bad there cannot be some sort of compromise or work around. |

Hello Pete, I think this is a beautiful image and a wonderful landscape. It's pretty amazing how a drone's perspective can really change the view of a landscape. I like the composition and the colors and lighting are great. You are certainly able to find lots of great spots to do drone photography. |

Hello Don, I think that this is an interesting image. I like the distortion, it adds a lot to an otherwise ordinary image. |

Hello Richard, I like your choice of B&W, it works very well for this image. I think that you handled the composition very well, avoiding intersecting lines between the background and foreground. To my eye the exposure is right on and the image is quite sharp. |

I like the dramatic sky, I think it looks great. Nice subject and composition. I find the lights on the shoreline very attractive. I like the way that you cropped the image and to my eye the waves in the ocean add interest to what I think would otherwise be a rather uninteresting expanse. |

Hi Patti, thanks for the comments. I like the red nails too, perhaps a monochrome with just the red nails? I like B&W but not just for the sake of B&W, I feel it has to really add to the image/story. |

Thanks Chuck, I knew you'd prefer B&W. I'll take a look at that to satisfy my curiosity. |

Hi Jeff, I really like your image and I think that the B&W rendering enhances the story. I think the composition is good, I like the returns sign and the looks on the faces of the people in line. Day after Christmas and people lining up to make returns. |

Nice image Marianne. The B&W works very well with this image. I think that is hard to tell what is going on but I do like the composition and the setting. Overall I think it is a good image, well exposed and with good sharpness. |
