85 Jan 23 Comment Great image Pete, I love it. To my eye it is very well composed and I think you have handled the color balance very nicely. The blues certainly evoke the cold snowy feeling that the image, at least in my opinion, should be conveying. For me the final result should be what the photographer has seen which is often not exactly what the camera records. I have had no problems in cold weather, I have run into overheating issues in hot weather. Jan 7th
85 Jan 23 Comment Hi Dremma, I completely agree with you that we should strive for high quality images regardless of how the image was captured or how much effort was put into getting the image. I think that your final image is very well presented, I like the composition and to my eye the color, especially the sky, are rendered very well. I think you could clone out that little speck of white in the trees. Jan 7th
85 Jan 23 Comment Hi Pete, I agree that this is a nice image, perhaps as Pete suggested a bit more ocean would be interesting. I think that there is detail in the dark trees that could be brought out by lightening the shadows. I am curious as to why you chose not to straighten the horizon. Jan 7th
