85 Oct 22 Comment Thanks for the comments Lisa. Oct 30th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Don, nice image of an interesting subject, my preference is the flat horizon. I agree with the comments about seeing the whole square. In my opinion I would have cropped off on the left side leaving only about half of the sidewalk and showing the entire square on the right making the image a square format rather than a rectangle. 85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Janos, I am also late to the party. I think this is a very nice photo and I agree with others that some cropping may improve the image. I think that cropping a bit from the left and quite a bit from the bottom might improve the overall image by focusing attention on the subject. To my eye the sky is great and I love the lighting on the cliffs. Oct 20th
85 Oct 22 Reply Hi Don, thanks for the comments. I agree that the bottom corners should go. Oct 20th
85 Oct 22 Reply Hi Janos, thanks for the comments. You are correct, the pitcher's mound is in the upper part of the original. Perhaps having the whole mound (circle) would have made a better composition. Oct 20th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hello Pete, I think this is a great image. I love the composition and the dreamy feel. The leading line is wonderful and I think that the lighting on Ship Rock is quite dramatic. I agree with Julie about the two clouds, personally I would crop them out, I find them somewhat distracting from the overall image. Oct 20th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hi Drema, I see this as a very nice abstract sort of image. I love the subject and the colors. Personally, I like the cropping in the original image better. To my eye the top of the image does not improve the overall image. I think it is great to be able to find great subjects like this. Oct 20th
85 Oct 22 Comment Hello Lisa, I agree with Drema's comments. I think that this is a great image and very dramatic. Given that I also think that cropping off part of the left side would improve the composition as I don't think the large empty space adds to the overall image. Oct 20th
85 Oct 22 Reply Thanks for the comments Drema. I agree that the bottom curve should be left in. Oct 7th
85 Oct 22 Reply Hi Julie, thanks for the comments. Sorry for not explaining better. It is the baseball infield for the Toledo (Ohio) Mudhens, our local minor league baseball team. Oct 6th

92 Oct 22 Comment Hi Marianne, thanks for the comments. I agree about petting a cat, it tells you something about a person. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Reply Hi Lance, thanks for the comments. I will give it a try in black and white. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Ian. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Reply Thanks for the comment and the suggestion regarding the tassels. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Comment Hello Ian, what a great story telling image. There is obviously something going on although without the title or some narrative it would be difficult to discern what; that is just an opinion on my part. I like the group dynamics and that you can see all the faces but one face - which doesn't bother me since the woman has her back to the camera. I like how you have cropped the image; I think it makes for a very strong composition. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Comment Hello Lance, I think this is a great image and B&W is certainly the way to go what with all the lines and angles. To me the opportunity of a serendipitous moment, such as the person walking into your image, is what makes street photography so interesting - there are no guarantees. To my eye the person walking the right of the line adds a great deal to the dynamics of the image. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Comment Hi Marianne, I think that you have captured some great street images and this is another one. I think the composition is great and the B&W rendering, IMO, suits the image very well. I think that the subject is perfectly placed in the image. I like how the image is darker on the left, to me if focuses attention on the subjects. Very well done. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Comment Hi Chuck, I'm late to the party this month. I certainly agree with the other comments. I think this is a great photo, I love the composition, the action and the B&W rendering. I think that Lance's suggestion regarding cropping is a good one. Oct 25th
92 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Chuck. Oct 6th
92 Oct 22 Comment Hi Beth, I like the way you captured the subjects in action - doing what they do. I think you have framed the image well, I like the way both people are focused on their work and are looking into the image. I don't think you could have found better subject, covered with paint the way they are. The whole frame is filled with relevant info. Oct 3rd
92 Oct 22 Comment Hi Jill, I think this is a wonderful image. I like the cropping and focus, to my eye the colors are bold and striking. I think the interaction with the vendor works well in this image. One minor thing to me is that the image seems slightly tilted. Overall a great image. Oct 3rd
