85 May 22 Comment Hi Don, I think this is a very nice image. I like the composition and I love the curve of the coastline, I think the curve adds a dynamic feeling to the image. The sky replacement works very well, to my eye it is not even a suspected replacement. I think that the lighting is pretty flat and I can see by the shadows that it is mid-day. May 2nd
85 May 22 Comment Hi Pete, very dramatic image. Drones can certainly allow for some great landscapes images. I am going to try your exposure technique to see how it works for me. I think you have done a great job post processing a very well composed image, I love the colors and details. May 2nd
85 May 22 Comment Hi Janos, I think this is a wonderful photo. I love the colors and the details in the crop. The shadows are dramatic. I agree with Pete about the small objects being distracting. Also, I see why you cropped the image how you did but I also agree that the shadows pointing out of the image are not ideal. I look forward to seeing some winter images. May 2nd
85 May 22 Comment Beautiful landscape image Drema. I see how you did the panorama, I think that you handled it very well. I love the composition, my eye flows right into the image. Personally I like how the closer mesa stands out, I think it gives the eye a good place to rest. May 2nd
85 May 22 Comment Hi Lisa, very nice image, I love the composition. I don't mind the stuff in the image however in a photo contest I think Pete's comments would apply. I think the image tells a very nice story. It's too bad that some beautiful locations are difficult to fly your drone. May 2nd

I have some views from different angles but none to close, I may have some without the Toledo tank, although some sentimental Toledo people may prefer the tank stay in the photo. This was formerly a Sun Oil refinery but I guess they got out of the refining business. May 2nd

92 May 22 Reply Thanks for the comments and suggestions Chuck. I really like your cropping, I was at a loss for how to crop this while giving a feeling of place, your crop does that. Maybe I have an image with the buckets, my current view is that it is better to not try to crop to close in the view finder since it is so easy to do in post and we generally have enough pixels to spare. 92 May 22 Comment I think you have captured a beautiful image Marianne. To my eye it is well composed and the focus is right on, you have captured a lot of detail. I would like to see the color original just for comparison but to me the B&W rendering is perfect. I agree that the shadow are quite stirring. May 6th
92 May 22 Comment I think this is a beautiful image, I love the colors and I think the sky adds to the image. At first I felt the way Beth described but after looking at the image longer I think that I like the bags being present. I do feel that the artist being more to the left of the image would improve the composition. May 6th
92 May 22 Comment I think you have captured a great moment, the urn and the looks on their faces tells the story well. I like the depth of field, the background is not interesting and if it was in focus it would not add to the image. Well done. May 6th
92 May 22 Comment Hi Chuck, I like the action and the interplay between the father and daughter. I think the crop is fine, it shows the area but you have cut out a lot of what I think of as unnecessary background. I find the background busy but not too distracting, my thought would be to darken the background somewhat so that the eye focused more on the subject. May 6th
