Meeting up would be great. I agree about the composition. Perhaps I have a better example of the scene. |

Hi Lisa, sometimes finding the right opportunity to use one's drone can be a challenge. It looks to me like the site could have some photo possibilities. I like the palm trees and the clouds are nice. Good luck on your next effort. |

Hello Janos, welcome to our group. I agree with Pete about the angle of the light, but you do have some nice shadows and I think the colors are rendered well. I think the composition is good and to my eye the placement of the plaza and flagpole is fine. I think that an image looking directly up the street (the street at about 5 o'clock) leading the eye to the large white building in the plaza could be an interesting. I look forward to seeing more of your work. |

Hi Pete, I think you did a great job with your image. I really love the subject matter and I think that you photographed it well. To my eye this is a great landscape image, it is well composed - my eye moves from the foreground to the background and then comes to rest on the butte. The sky is beautiful and I think you handled the lighting very well, I like the strong shadows. |

Thanks Don. I think it is the wrong commentary. I'll get with Lisa to straighten it out. |

Hi Chuck, thanks for the comments. I agree about showing the post, I think I cropped a little too tight in my submission. I also left a little more room a the top and bottom as well. |

Hi Brandon, another nice documentary type image. I think you have captured the feeling of the neighborhood and it's changes, many places have a remaining business or two like this. I like the composition and I think the placement of the people works well and adds some dynamic to the image. I agree that the stop sign is distracting but generally I like the way you cropped the image. I like seeing the whole store front. |

Understood, a photographer can only do so much, especially in situations like this. As I said, I think this is a wonderful image. |

Hi Jill, I think this is a captivating image. The image tells it all, no title is needed. To my eye you have composed the image very well, the lighting is good and it consistently sharp. I did not really notice until I read Ian's comments about the kids sitting on the grass, I think that just a little more room at the bottom of the image may help. I feel that you have done a great job of capturing the scene and the mood. |

Hi Beth, I think this is a wonderful street photo. I also like the low angle you used and I think you cropped it very well. You captured so much in your original that I imagine you were mostly inconspicuous to your subjects. With so many pixels a photographer can have lots of opportunity to crop, as you did. I love the way the dog is looking right at the viewer. I also like the runner with both feet off the ground. The B&W rendering is great. |

I agree with Ian, the composition of this image is great. Chess players and the audience of two. I like how you captured the woman in mid move, I think that adds a lot to the image. To my eye you have created an excellent story telling image. |

Hi Chuck, I've read Ian's comments with interest. Personally I don't mind the grainy sky, since the sky is bald I think the grain gives a little mood to the image. I like the composition, I like how the kids are waiting for their turn on the zip line. I think the image would be stronger if the girl on the zip line was not right in front of the adult, if you could have caught her a second or two sooner. |

Thanks, I should have been able to figure that out :). Personally, I think a vertical line on the building, like a line of bricks or the right edge of the window frame might be better to align the image. |

Thanks for the explanation Ian. I will give it a try. In fact I'll try the seam and the whole column as well. Unfortunately I often can not tell which version of an image I like best. |

Hi Ian, I think this is a very interesting image. I like the 3D quality, the young man almost appears to be part of the mural. I think the placement of the man in the image in relation to the painted people is well done. I like the way you handled the colors and the cropping, I don't know what "the brings meet the path" means. |

Hi Ian, thanks for the comments. I'm not sure what you mean about the cropping. I see that I don't have the column exactly straight, do you think there should be less column showing? Or perhaps the whole width of the column? |
