Hi Bob, I think that this is a great image. Nice composition with diagonal lines and the foggy mountain is imposing. I think that the tone of the image has a desolate feeling. Like Lisa I frequently stop my video to get some stills when I find a particularly interesting subject, however I find that with 4K video I get some images I would have missed if I had only taken stills. |

Hi Lisa, I love this image and I don't find it too busy. It has an abstract quality but it is based in visual reality. I really like the intimate view of the neighborhood and I find the tracks in the snow quite intriguing. |

Hi Don, even though there is no main subject I do like this image. I think it is a nice landscape overview, the perspective from a drone can make a great landscape which would otherwise be unavailable. |

Thanks for the comments Lisa. I used to be a rock climber but heights still make me queasy, I would not like to work up there. I have taken more photos of the work progression, which has stopped now with the cold weather. |

Hi Bob, yes I can see the confusion. I wondered when I submitted the pre-art image if anyone would be able to make heads or tails of it. The original image, pre-art, was taken from the north, that image was fairly easy to get. The image of the painted silos was not easy to get and I would not have bothered trying to get it had it not been for the art work. The tall rectangular silo looking thing is the reference point for both images, it is on the north end of the group of silos. I hope my explanation helped. Thanks for the comments. |

I like the image and I agree with the others that the horizon is the main issue. I also straightened the horizon and skewed the buildings to keep them straight. I did that in Photoshop, I took a few steps to do so (I am far from a PS pro). I also did some sharpening to the image. I think that you composition is quite nice and I like it as a B&W. |

Hi Jill, I think this is a wonderful story telling image. The other comments have addressed the background concerns, that is tough to handle. Darkening the background might make it less confusing. I think it is a great portrait. |

I like your image very much. The other similar ones have all been great. It sounds like an interesting project you are working on. I think that the way you handled the colors in your version works well. |

Thanks for the comments. I like the B&W version. Actually I have a B&W print of just the sax player. I like the way you cropped it too. |

Hi Chuck, I love your image and the story it tells. I think you have a good composition, it allows the viewer to clearly see the woman's face and what she is doing. I prefer the B&W image with the composition you have chosen. I think the color version would work well if it were cropped closer. I have taken the liberty of cropping your image, I think a closer crop works better with the color version as it focuses the viewer on the main subject. |
