Thanks for the comments Don. I think a drone can do nicely for landscapes, it enable one to expand the plane of the image.

I like your subject matter and the composition. I think the muted colors and softness gives the image a very desirable (to me) surrealistic other worldly feel. Have you captured a lot of images of the fires' devastation? |

I agree with Don, I think you did a great job of aligning and cropping the original image. You have an eye for finding interesting subjects, especially when viewed straight down. I think you could saturate the colors to the point of absurdity and you may have a totally abstract looking image. |

I think this is a great image. I like the composition with the repeating lines of the shore and waves going diagonally through the image. |

Yes, the dock is interesting. Not sure what its purpose is. You're right, about all I did is correct the vertical lines. |

Hi Gary, another great image. I like your creativeness and how you can arrive at a finished image that looks perfectly normal. You display a lot of skill but I think that your creativeness is the basis of your images. |

Thanks. Other than darkening the "lower right" not left I would leave the overall exposure as you have it. Sorry about getting my left and right confused. |

I think you have done a good job telling a story with this image. I do agree that the chair in the foreground is distracting. Jill made a good point about moving the chair and I think if the lower left were darkened as Geoff did the image might be stronger. All in all a very nice image. |

I think you have done a great job capturing this image. The light and colors are vibrant and I really like the composition with the diagonal lines, it adds to the interest. |

Hi Brandon, I think this is a great story telling image. I feel like the structure is haunted and looking at me, maybe it is. Personally I like the composition. In my opinion, I think a bit on the right edge with the guard rail could be cropped out, I think it is somewhat distracting. I think you handled the subject matter very well. |

Hi Albert, I also like to take candid images of people. I agree that asking permission results in a posed shot which is generally not what I am after. I don't ask permission before or after, if I am spotted by the person I usually just give them a nod to acknowledge them. If someone questions me then I tell them the image is for my use, that is not commercial. If they ask me to delete the image I will but that has never happened. I've had people say something like, hey let me pose for you, which I do. Sometimes those results are quite good, like the image here. All that being said, it took me a long time to start to take those candid shots. |

I really like this image, it tells a story. I think the exposure is right on and the colors are very lively which fits perfect with the subject. I wonder how the image would be if the lens was pointed to the right, cutting out the white sign and showing more of the sports park sign. |

Thanks for the suggestion, I did not think of doing that. I think it improves the image. |

I think you have handled this image well. I like the colors in the original but I agree with you that the B&W tell the story of the two women much better. I like the overall sharpness and the details in the shadows. For street photography I like catching a quick shot the best when I can get my photo without influencing the scene. Just a thought, if you lightened up the face of the woman on the right just a bit that may draw more focus to her. |

I love this image, I think the B&W rendering is great. I like the composition with the 3 main walkers heading into the canyon formed by the buildings. The rain slick streets and the shadows of the walkers is quite dramatic. I think you have handled the tones well, there is some details in most if not all of the shadows. To my eye the sign on the left edge of the image is distracting, I think the image might be stronger if it were cropped out. All in all I think this is a beautiful image. |
