Thanks for the suggestion Lisa. I never would have thought of it on my own. I can see what you mean about feeling you're on the bridge. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone in the group. |

Great unique capture of the wall! Your image gives me a great sense of place, but also allows me a rare closeup view of the intricate details that make up this wonder of the world. I enjoy your compostion with the two elements of the wall not overlapping, and a noticable difference in depth of field. I find the group of people starting to climb the wall at the bottom of the image, a little distracting. I might try cloning them out. |

Very interesting find! Flower photography is my major area of interest, and I haven't seen this one before.

Lovely placement of the butterfly in the image, nicely off centre using the rule of thirds. Wonderful detail in the butterfly and the flower. You even have both antennae sharp, quite the accomplishment. The soft background sets off your subject nicely. I like the different colours in the background as I find it adds interest without distraction. |

I find the artist in the foreground adds interest and also adds to the sense of depth. The colours in the image work beautifully together, I can feel the crisp autumn air! Love the amount of detail you've captured, right from the colourful grass in the foreground through to the majestic mountains in the background and even the clouds beyond that. |

Thanks Lisa, for your kind welcome and comments. I won't have an opportunity to go back this year, as most of the leaves are now gone. I tried the crop you suggested (at least I hope this is what you meant) and have attached it. Thoughts? |

In my opinion, this is a beautiful environmental portrait. The woman appears genuinely happy! Her colourful traditional garb adds a wonderful sense of place, as does the llama beside her. I feel your choice of depth of field was good, the mountains in the background add to the scene, but do not detract from your main subject. I feel your work in photoshop was done well. You have lifted the shadows in her face, but to me it still appears very natural.
