John Good colors and good composition with nicely placed domes. Your selection of clouds adds beauty to the image.
I think it is a good idea to reduce the brightness of the blue sky enabling viewers to focus more on the structures. |

Laura, Nice photo. Well captured. It tells the meaning even without looking at the title. I like your color version better than the black and white version. For me, having a black strip near the top is bit distracting. I think it is good if the image is cropped up to that line. |

Steve, Your photo gives the impression of a possible
'showdown'. The blurring of the surrounding is good bringing the emphasis on birds. Good 'story-telling' image. I would like to see bit more details of birds. |

Albert I like the composition of your photo, the stream acting as a leading line taking the eye towards the sky.
As John commented, I also like your original the best. I see too much of 'drama' in your sky and bit of over saturation throughout the image. |

Thorro This is the first time I heard about 'thermophile'. I know nothing about thermophile.
Looking by picture quality, I like the one posted by Albert. It excludes the cluttered background of snow and trees. |

Very good work Jim. Clear details. Uncluttered background. Good composition.
By lowering the EV three half steps, you seem to have bit darkened the pistil and the stamens. Good idea if you can brighten them and show details. |
