Hi Karen,
Thank you for your feedback and comments. I received a lot of good ideas from our group, and I will keep the process i my toolbox. Like you, I have lots of crowded images, so I think if I am selective I can bring some new life to some of them. This image was shot pre-covid at "Lead East" known as the "World's Greatest Oldies Party" during the Labor Day weekend. It brings back fond memories of a crazy weekend and the only thing missing was Henry Winker as Fonzie.
Best regards,
Greg |

Hi Darcy,
I don't think you should toss this image. I really like it and think that it has a lot of artistic potential. I was not advocating for maximum sharpness because to me this is an ideal soft intermate image. I agree with your decision to make the image softer. I should have been clearer in my feedback. I think a little selective sharpening in the core may make a nice transition to the water droplets and background. Just a slight different take on a really nice image.
Best regards,

Hi Jackie,
Welcome to Group 14. You image brought back fond memories of the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". I think your decision to convert the image to B&W works well. I just have a few suggestion for you to consider. I would try darkening the sky to make Devils Tower stand out from the background. I would also try darkening the foreground. Lastly, I would try to lighten up the bison. Thanks for sharing. It looks like and interesting site to visit.
Best regards,

Hi Ingrid,
A very nice image. Your post processing works well. The interaction between the 2 gulls captured a moment in time. Your post processing works well. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tom,
A very nicely composed image. The roof line against the sky works well. Triangles are a strong compositional element, and you capture a lot of them. The image has a Fine Art Photography feel to it.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
