Hi Tom,
I can see where you have put sometime and work into this image. I like the direction and I think you accomplished your goal of creating the atmosphere of an impending storm. My only suggestion is to mute down the color in the sky and the reflection in the water. It appears to be a little to strong for my taste.

A nice conversion to B&W. I agree with the previous statements about the color spots. I also have a suggestion for you. You may want to try a Curves adjustment layer. In curves under Presets there is a Increase Contrast setting. It may help separate the subject from the sky a little more.
