You created an interesting transformation. I like the direction you took in post processing. One suggestion would be to push the image further into the abstract by using the paint filter in photoshop or sprayed strokes in the filter gallery.

This is a fun colorful image. I agree with Ingrid that the framing with the signs on the left and right works well. I also like the way that the buildings on both sides create leading lines to help move the eye into the scene. I also agree that darkening down the headlights may help. Allin all a very nice image.
