Hi Erin,
Thanks for your comments and feedback. Six months prior to the trip I couldn't pick out Belize on a map or had any idea about Caye Caulker. I was there for a photo workshop. The workshop went south, so I gave myself some image goals and came back with over 3000 images. The Island had a motto "Go Slow", and the gentleman middle left (Jacob) was my attempt to capture an Ernest Hemmingway image of the "Old Man and The Sea". It was a very memorable trip.
Best regards,

Hi Kamal,
Although the background is a bit busy, your main subject is so strong that the background does not distract me. If I were to crop this image, I would take out some of the dead space in the sky and leave every else in place. A very strong documentary or street photography image. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
Greg |

Hi Erin,
You did a nice job shooting through glass. My recommendation is to keep the 2nd player in. It give the image some depth of field and helps keeps the eye on the primary subject. The subjects eye brings the viewer into the oncoming play. A very nice capture.
Best regards,

Hi Ingrid,
Thanks for your reply. If you are using a wide-angle lens you will still get good depth of field when it is wide open.
Best regards,

Hi Tom,
What a beautifully captured image. I would have never known that this feather was only 2 inches long. The details from focus stacking and the color palette really keeps the viewers eye on target.
Best regards,

Hi Ingrid,
A very nice wintry scene. I like the color palette and the layering of the scene. The rock anchors the foreground, and the stream leads the eye into the background. I just have one question, "why F2.4"? All in all a very nice image. |
