Hi Erin,
Thank you for your feedback. I was surprised how much contact they made during the performance. I spent some time after the performance and asked them about their headgear. There was a lot of contact in the head area and the told me that the headgear was super padded to absorb the sword play.

Hi Erin,
A very nice image of your daughter and the cross-country event. I think your crop and post processing works well. I agree with Tom's suggestion regarding a second runner. I think it would add nicely with the composition, and I will have to try to remember that when I am out shooting. My only other suggestion would be to see if you have an image with her opened. If you shot this in a burst mode you may have one that would accent her eyes on the road.

What a nice capture. I know what you mean about weight, but in the right circumstances you will get some great image. The color palette works well, and the reflection add just the right touch.
