What a very nice capture. The color palette is nice and soft. The berry in the bird's mouth captures the decisive moment. The depth of field really makes the bird stand out.

Happy New Year. What a very nice image. The lighting adds a lot of mystery to the image. I think you crop choice works, but I think that I would prefer a closer crop. Having tried to shoot hummingbirds in my back yard this summer with no success, it makes your image even more impressive to me. Very nice capture.

Great shot with a great back story. BY way of suggestion, I rotated the image to have the handle rail start in the lower left-hand corner, added some texture, clarity and a vignette. I think your decision to leave the color as shot work well in this image.

Before reading your write-up, I was taken in by stillness in this image. After reading your write-up, I was impressed on how you created this image in post processing. Your crop and framing work well. The conversion to B&W fits this image, and the added fog was a very clever choice. Because your image looks almost sketched, I believe you will do well in your local competition.
