I think you took a nice portrait of Daniel, and you have a nice location to work with. A couple of things you may want to consider. To my eye, the image is a bit dark. I checked the images histogram and you have a lot of space on the right side to brighten the image. The other suggestion I have is to watch your background. The viewer's eye will go to the brightest area in the frame which is the sky. That focuses the eye to go to the building over the top of his head. I retouch the image with a tighter crop and lightened it, and add a little bit of warmth.

Thank you for your feedback. It made me take a second look at the image. I think Darcy's suggestion to darken down the background on the right side helps eliminate some of the distraction. I am not sure I agree with your comment about the interaction between the the pigeon and the subject. To my eye, this image is about the moment in time and the pigeon on her backpack brings the image together. Just a different perspective.

I agree with Tom and Darcy that you have presented a very nice image. Using the sky to simplify the background works really well with this model. I also like how you captured the movement of her hair. Another nice image.

What a nice image. I think the overcast day helped bring the colors out. I agree with the recommendations that Tom made. One addition point. I think if you would have moved 1 step to the right you would have gotten good separation of the main lanterns. All in all a very nice image.
