Quang,
Thank you for your feedback. I like your suggestion to patch in the blue and red stage backlight. I have been on a few of these music cruises, and they are a lot of fun. Besides the good music they entertainers are fellow passenger and you get to interact with them when they are off stage. Johnny Contardo have become friendly over the years.
The image was taken on a smaller venue on a cruise ship so I was able to get almost eye level. I took a few test shots with the warm up act to get my exposure correct. From there it was timing the spot light on the performer with a good expression. All in all it was great music with a nice photography opportunity.

Thanks for your feedback. The image was taken at one of the smaller venues on a cruise ship so I was able to get pretty much eye level. It was an exercise in timing the spot light on the performer. I took a number of images, and this one had the right lighting with a good expression.

Syed,
A very creative image. I really like the tonal range of your B&W conversion and the symmetry between the left and right sides. I can almost see the shape of a bird in the sky. One question that I have is did you intentionally make the left side higher than the right? I think the image still works with the offset.

Tom,
What a nice composition of one of the world's great cities. Your image makes me want to open John's bottle of wine and just enjoy the sunrise. You have packed a lot in the image. The bridge, the city skyline, and the famed Opera House. My only suggestion is to desaturate the magenta a little and open up the shadows to brighten bridge column on the left and some of the city skyline.

Darcy,
What a nice image. I like your selective focus and the color palette just works well throughout the image. I like the dialogue that you had with Tom. My vote would be to remove the black bug and keep the other one.

Quang,
A very nice and peaceful composition. My suggestion is to reopen the image in ACR and pull down the highlights a little to bring out a little more details in the clouds. I might also try using the adjustment brush or the radial filter in ACR to open up the shadows a little on the pony. All in all I think your crop works well. A nice layered image .
