Stephen,
Thanks for your feedback. I found this event by accident, but truly enjoyed photographing the riders in their outfits and their beautiful horses.

Bill,
As stated already, a nice action image. I agree with the previous comments that a little more space would enhance the image.

Larry,
I like your composition, and your post processing of this image. The repeating pattern of the domes work really well in this image, as does the color palette. You mentioned "perking up the color", did you have a special technique to get the colors so vibrant?

Greg |

Syed,
Your image is such a nice environmental portrait. I like the composition, the use of window lighting, and the color palette. I am drawn to the focus of the weaver. The lighting in the image helps me move around to the other weaving machines. A very nice story telling image. Your image also works in B&W.
Best regards,
Greg

Xiao,
This candid is special. I like your color treatment for the image. The warm tones work well. What really captures me is the play between the model and the shadow. I came back again and again to try to figure out how the shadow looked very different then the image of the model. I like images that make me think, and this does. A really special image and thanks for sharing. By the way, the shadow almost looks like a musician playing a violin.
Best Regards,
Greg |

Arun,
What a really nice story telling image. I like your composition and, all the colors in the image let's your eyes wonder around the image. I think you may also have a picture within your picture. If you crop down just above the gold ring in the middle of the picture, it eliminates the bright area in the upper right corner and enlarges the shopkeeper a bit. But, as is, it is a really nice image.
Best regards,

Hi Darcy,
I think works well with you image. I agree with Arun's comment about cropping. The Swan seems a little lost. Just as a suggestion, I used a Level's adjustment in photoshop. Used the white eye dropper on the tail of the swan, then used a white vignette instead of a crop. Just my thoughts.
Best regards,

I also received nice feedback from Stephen. Thank you for your comment about my image. Based on all the previous comments, you presented a very nice action image which has many options in post processing. I like your treatment in B&W and appreciate the work you did cloning out all the distractions. The capturing of the rider and the horse at the peak of their jump, makes the image very special. My only suggestions would be to try a vignette to darken down the corners just a bit.
