Wow! Thank you for your kind comments, Oliver. Much appreciated! I agree with you about the use of a vignette. It's good to use one on most photos, as long as it doesn't look obvious. |

He's a very handsome lizard on a beautiful sculpturesque piece of wood! The two are truly complementary to each other. I like it very much, particularly with the strong curves of the tail and the curves and details of the piece of wood. Well processed! |

Yes, I think it works well in monochrome, although I would like to see the greys on the propeller a bit brighter. An interesting image - Well seen! |

I like the photo, but would have waited a second or two more before clicking the shutter. I think a bit more separation between the boat and the pillar of the bridge would result in a more pleasing composition. Also the white of the wash behind the boat appears to be a bit blown out. It's a nice image though. Well done! |

I immediately thought it might have been from the Disney Theatre in LA. Certainly a Gehry similarity there! It's an interesting photo - beautiful lines and well seen! I agree with Arun and Bobby that a little more contrast could give the image a boost. I would use an S shape in Curves in Photoshop to do this, applied with a mask to certain areas, and it would give a little more punch to what is otherwise a great image!

Thank you Arun and Eleanor for your positive comments. I'm glad you find the photo to have impact. Eleanor - I've just taken a closer look at the full sized image and there is a single catchlight in each eye. There is the silhouette of a dancing person, arms outstretched, in the catchlight of each eye which gives the appearance of 2 catchlights. It's an interesting observation though! Thank you for looking so closely at this image :) |
