This is a great image, Terri. It's perfectly timed, the choice of aperture is just right to make the subject stand out from the background and the exposure is spot on to keep the details in the whites. Did to take it a single shot or as a burst? |

I love this image, Pete. It has real atmosphere - enhanced greatly by the clouds of water vapour and the mystery. Not knowing quite what she is doing adds to the interest and makes me wonder exactly what it is. I agree with removing the blue tag. Well done indeed… |

This is a great shot, Phil. It's really captured the sense of movement and dynamism of the event. I like Richard's idea of darkening the background to make her stand out more. I think the barrel is a bit distracting but, as Barbara says, it's part of the story so I too would leave it as it is. |

This is a lovely image, Barbara which really brings out the character of the man. The only thing I would say that the background at the top of the image is dappled and relatively sharp (apart from the area where you have cloned out the feather which has lost the texture altogether) whereas that on the lower left-hand side is out of focus so it doesn't look natural. I think it's also like that in the original but it's not so apparent, so I think the enhancements you have done has made it more visible. May I suggest that you blur the sharp background to make is all similar. |

Absolutely. Thanks for explaining it. I logged on to try to sort out the confusion but you've done the job for me - and thanks too for the very kind comment on the image - I'm most grateful. :-) |
