This is a powerful image that asks questions of the viewer. In particular, what the hand is doing. Certainly, a great picture
In the Uk we have a national health service which we pay for through our taxes - in general, it works well and everyone is included. |

Thanks for this splendid candid. I rarely have the courage to take them - however my Canon 60D has an articulated screen so I can shoot at angle.
The picture really tells a story. The high ISO does show. I have recently experimented with selecting the main humn subject and the creating a very blurred background layer for it to 'sit' on. However, if the background is too blurred or desaturated, it can look as if they subject has been superimposed.
A great image which speaks of your holiday destination. |

Hi Sam - Sorry for the delay in replying; bit busy at moment. I very much like your image - it is strong, clean and simple. I was wondering what the original color of the flowers were? Would this image have worked as well in full color? |

Hi Judith
I love the image you have created! It is both clever and fun. My original intention for taking the picture was to show the extravagance of chrome. However, despite taking many images of the vehicle, I didn't quite succeed. So it was converted to B&W. (Original attached)
By the way, I am nostalgic for our warm summer when I could wander around in trainers.
Again many thanks for your reworking which is great. |

Thank you Peter for this image. There is definately a sense of motion in the birds wings. I wonder of a slight vignetting would focus the eye more in the centre. |

Very good image indeed and reminds me of the pictures of Edward Weston & his f64 contemporaries. I particularly like the almost metallic look of the petals; I would be interested to know any post-processing involved. |

Very strong image and I particularly like the lively sky and angularity of the buildings.
It might be possible to create anotherimage by cropping for the right side alone. While this would not supercede the first image it could be worth exploring to we what else might result.
Well done on a striking picture. |

Great picture!
I have thought long about the bars. I have come to think that they should be left in. Firstly, this give authenticity from a documentary standpoint. But also, is suspect that without them the image would just 'too perfect'. Just a thought however on a excellent image. |

Thank you Jane for this beautiful image. In particular I think the long exposure of the clouds works very well. My only suggestion might be to slightly lighten the background to give a 'tad' of aerial perspective.
However, it may be my monitor showing the image darker than it actually is!

Hi Tracy - thanks for the comment.
I'll try cropping the image further and see what it looks like.
Precise technical detail to follow. By the way, it was taken with my old Olympus E410. |
